
CAMDEN - Janice Bullens Younger peacefully went home to be with Jesus, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018. She was the loving, devoted wife to Ronald P. Younger.
She was born on Feb. 27, 1949, in Frankfort, Ky. Jan was the daughter of the late William Bullens and Juanita Lathrem Bullens.
She worked for the Food and Drug Administration where she met Ron. She left the workforce to be a stay at home Mother. She spent many years homeschooling her children and later, became a teacher at Tall Oaks Classical School. She spent much of her free time reading and preparing lessons, then later reading history, theology, and political science works for pleasure. She also spent several years teaching a ladies Bible study.
Jan was a loving, generous woman, devoted to her family and the things of God. Her favorite place to be was in church, worshipping and hearing the Word of God preached. She was a member of Grace Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Middletown. She was a wonderful Mother who sacrificed much to rear and educate her children. She led by example and taught the importance of family, faith, forgiveness, service, and love. Her favorite book of the Bible was Hebrews and her favorite hymn was And Can it be by Charles Wesley.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her brother, Rodger Bullens.
Jan is survived by her husband, Ronald Younger; sister, Jeannie Harrod (spouse Scott Harrod); daughter, Rachel Leigh (spouse Brian Leigh); sons, Martin Younger and Jacob Younger; stepdaughter, Sherry Wilkins (spouse, Ken Wilkins); stepsons, Greg Younger (spouse Karen Younger), and Ronald Younger II (spouse Renee Younger). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ariel Leigh, Geneva Leigh, Marina Leigh, Leona Leigh, Oliver Leigh, Casey Ireland, Andrew Younger, Kristin Reedy, Abby Younger, Jarod Younger, Sophie Younger, Zachary Younger; and great-grandchildren, Tyler Ireland, Jordan Ireland, Jared Reedy, and Jacie Reedy.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services celebrating her life on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018 at Grace Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 13 Pennington Street, Middletown, DE 19709. Visitation will be from 9:45 to 11 a.m. and the service will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Crumpton Cemetery, 2010 Dudley's Corner Road, Crumpton, MD 21628 at 3 p.m.
