Georgetown - Janet Lee Bailey passed away Saturday Jan. 3rd, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Milford, Del. on Dec. 8th, 1933, daughter of the late Earle and Marie Worthington. Janet was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she showcased her dedication to the church through activities such as vacation bible school study, tape ministry, and choir. Singing was a large part of her life as she consistently volunteered her time to spread her devotion to gospel through song. In addition to her parents, Janet is preceded in death by her brother, Jack Worthington. She is survived by her two daughters, Susan Esham and husband Tim, and Carol Reed and husband Paul; four grandchildren, Adam Reed, Kayla Esham, Kelsey Esham, and Mackenzie Reed. She also survived by her dear friend/sister, Karen Westbrook. A funeral service will be held Friday Jan. 9th, 2015, 11:00 a.m., at Calvary Baptist Church 22860 Dupont Boulevard, Georgetown, DE 19947. Friends and family may call at the church, that same day, one hour prior to service time for the viewing. The family is accepting flowers, however, they kindly suggest any additional contributions to go towards a charity of your choice. Arrangements are being handled by Short Funeral Services.
