FREDERICA - Janet L. Minner of Frederica passed away Friday December 12, 2014 at Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. Mrs. Minner was born March 2, 1948 in Crisfield, Md. to the late Orie Lee Ranshaw, Sr. and Anna Jean Long. She retired from Leeds in Clayton, and ILC Industries, in Frederica. Mrs. Minner was an avid bingo player, and loved to go to yard sales. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Edna Ranshaw; sister, Susan Ranshaw; sister-in-law, Edith Stanislawski; and brother-in-law, Thomas L. Minner. She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, John Wayne Minner of Frederica; sons, Michael Summerlin and his wife Paula of Dover, Eddie Summerlin and his wife Donna of Romney, W.Va.; daughter, Annette Minner of Dover; brothers, James Ranshaw of Smyrna, Orie L. Ranshaw, Jr. and Richard Ranshaw both of Dover; half-sisters, Nancy Robinson, and Dolly Woodall; half-brother, Bobby Dittman; brother-in-law, Howard G. Minner of Cheswold; grandchildren, Jeff Minner of Felton, Jessica Hengst of Dover, Katie Crist of Cambridge, Md., Alyssa and Wyatt Summerlin both of Romney, W.Va.; a host of nieces and nephews and too many friends to mention. Funeral services will be held 12 p.m., Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, Del. 19963.
