DOVER - Jane Sklencar, of Dover died Monday, May 2, 2016 at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital. She was 70. Jane was born August 10, 1945 in Philadelphia, Pa. to the late Herman Hause and Ethel Everly Hause. She worked as a scheduler at Immaculate Mary Nursing Home in Philadelphia for 30 years. After retirement, she and her late husband Tom moved to Dover, and she worked part time at Silver Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center as a scheduler and admissions clerk. She was a devout Catholic and member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. Her faith was very important to her. Jane enjoyed travelling, going on cruises, and going to the beach. She was a very giving person, who loved being with her family and large network of friends. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Rhnea Sklencar; and husband of 45 years, Tom Sklencar. Jane is survived by her son, Thomas Michael, Jr. and his wife Nicole of Horsham, Pa; daughter, Andrea Rathbone and her husband Daren of Groton, Mass.; grandchildren, Thomas M., Sklencar, III, Soleil A. Sklencar, Colin J. Rathbone and Colby J. Rathbone; significant other, "Butch" Aram Kumkumian of Dover; brother, Herman Hause III and wife Barbara of Waretown, N.J.; and brother-in-law, Joseph Sklencar and wife Grace of Cherry Hill, N.J.; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2016 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State Street, Dover. Friends may call 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Philadelphia, Pa. at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests Memorial Contributions to Massachusetts General Hospital Development Office, Calciphylaxis Research Study, in memory of Jane Sklencar, 125 Nashua St., Suite 540, Boston, MA 02114.
