Jane Bouchelle Calloway

Jane Bouchelle Calloway, 90

MIDDLETOWN - Jane Bouchelle Calloway, of Middletown, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008, at Broadmeadow Healthcare. She was 90.

She was born in Childs, Md., and moved to Middletown with her husband, the late Charles Calloway, in 1945.

Jane owned and operated Pleasant Hill Inn in Odessa for many years, and was well known locally for her crab cakes and home-baked pies.

She was an active member of St. Anne's Episcopal Church and served on the Altar Guild.

After retiring, she volunteered for the American Cancer Society.

She is survived by a sister, Henrietta Siebold of Newark; a brother, Wilmer Bouchelle of Wilmington; her two children, Sharyn Gambino and Charles "Joe" Calloway, both of Middletown; as well as her seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be private.

The family suggests memorial donations to Delaware Hospice, 3515 Silverside Road, Wilmington, DE 19810; or to the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720.
