MILLINGTON, Md. - Jan C. Appenzeller passed away on May 6, 2018 in Baltimore Washington Medical Center, Glen Burnie, Md.
Jan was born on Jan. 24, 1956, in Dover, daughter of Barbara Lockwood Wallace and the late Jesse R. Wallace. She was a lifetime resident of Millington, where she was raised in town and after she married moved to the Appenzeller Farm. Jan was a member of the Community Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and the Women of the Moose. She loved being outside working in her garden and yard and spending time with her family.
Along with her father, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Daniel and Breese Wallace.
Jan is survived by her husband of 44 years, Edward P. Appenzeller, Jr.; her mother, Barbara L. Wallace; her children, Trey Appenzeller (Mary) of Millington, April Bramble (Travis) of Chestertown and Tammy Hastings (Eric) of Millington; two sisters, Theresa Crew (Wayne) of Chestertown and Joan Massey (Richard) of Hauser, Idaho; four grandchildren, Kayla Appenzeller, Alyssa Appenzeller, Meygan Hastings and Bailee Hastings; and one great grandson, Trenton Franks.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 11 a.m. in Sudlersville Cemetery, Sudlersville, Md.
