'Jim' Boyles, Sr., 73 TOWNSEND - James William "Jim" Boyles, Sr., a lifelong resident of Townsend, passed away peacefully on Tues., July 16, 2013 at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, Del. with his loving family by his side. Born on June 25, 1940 in Townsend, he was the son of the late Peter and Julia (Short) Boyles. Jim loved working on everything and possessed a gift to fix anything that needed to be repaired. He was a diesel mechanic by trade. One of his greatest pleasures in life was raising cows for future sale. He enjoyed playing pool. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Nancy A. Boyles on Mar. 28, 2013; great-granddaughter, Layla; as well as by four sisters and a brother. Jim is survived by his children, Christina Garboski and Lee Butterworth of Townsend, James "Buck" and Brenda "Re" Boyles of Marydel, Joe and Cassie Boyles of Clayton, Gail Missimer of Earlville, Md. and Robert and Rose Boyles of Magnolia; 15 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held noon on Sat., July 20, 2013 at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, 212 N. Broad Street in Middletown, DE where friends may visit with his family one hour prior to funeral services. Interment will be private. Arrangements by Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, Middletown.
