NEW CASTLE - James T. Haith passed away Saturday, July 23, 2011, at Christiana Hospital. He was 70. James was born on Oct. 18, 1940, in Greensboro, N.C., son of the late John and Frances (Murry) Haith. He had worked as a mechanic for Freut Haul Trucking. He was a hot rod enthusiast and enjoyed drag racing. James was preceded in death by three sisters, Daisy Barrett, Lorraine Brinkley, and Suevilla Haith. He is survived by two sons, James Haith and Barry Haith; a stepson, Bryant Harris; three brothers, Randolph Haith and his wife Eileen, Anthony Haith and his wife Debbie, and Jerry Haith and his wife Renee; sisters, Betty Burris, Juliette Caldwell, Cynthia Moses and her husband Richard, Francis Woods, Shirley Palmer, Pamela Williams and her husband Raymond, Stephanie Bull, Sylvia Brittingham and her husband Leon, Atlay Bennett and her husband Nate; and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, July 27, at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Services will be 11 a.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Mt. Olive Pentecostal Church, 139 N. East St., Smyrna, DE 19977.
