James Michael Fenimore

Fenimore, 93 DOVER - James Michael Fenimore of Dover passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at home. He was 93. Mr. Fenimore was born January 28, 1921 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Charles Fenimore and Barbara DeVita Fenimore. He served in the United States Army during WWII and was a Merchant Marine during WWII. Mr. Fenimore was a meat packer and shipping clerk for Julian Freirich Company in Long Island City. He enjoyed sports especially the NY Giants, Rangers and Mets. He also enjoyed traveling the blue waters of Cancun, Mexico. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony Fenimore; and sister, Rose Cottrell. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elizabeth Zeppetelli Fenimore of Dover; sons, Wayne Fenimore of Pennsylvania, and Richard Fenimore of Dover; grandchildren, Danielle, James and Brett. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12 p.m., Friday, May 16, 2014 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State Street, Dover. Friends may call one hour prior to service at the church and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Entombment will be 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2014 in Holmdel Cemetery, 900 Holmdel Road, Holmdel, N.J. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 E. 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
