Donovan, 71 Georgetown - James L. 'Jimmy' Donovan passed away peacefully at the Delaware Hospice Center on Thur., Mar. 5, 2015. Jimmy had retired from Dupont in Seaford and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Georgetown. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and he loved hot rods and camping. He was a member of the Southern Delaware Street Rods group where he was affectionately known as 'Peanut.' He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Donovan; daughter, Rebecca Donovan-McKenzie; and his brother, Russel Taylor. He is survived by his brothers, Harry L. Ettmueller of Texas and M. Carroll Taylor of Hebron, MD; sisters, Doris Hawkins and Loretta Ettmueller-Garth, both of New Jersey and Joy Taylor of Salisbury, MD; granddaughter, Zoey Frances McKenzie; close friends, Heather and Pete Torres and their children Blake, Tyller, and Tayllor Jackson; several nieces; nephews; great nieces; and great-nephews. A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel of Short Funeral Services 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, DE 19947 on Fri., Mar. 13, 2015 where friends may call after 11:30 a.m. Interment will be at the Delaware Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro.
