MILLINGTON, Md. - James E. Price Sr., of Millington, died Feb. 28, 2009, in his home. He was 96. Mr. Price was born on May 24, 1912, son of the late Seth Aldridge and Ola Everett Price. He was raised in Massey, and for the last 50 years lived on Big Stone Rd., in the home he and his wife built. Mr. Price was a carpenter, operating James E. Price Builders, building numerous homes in the area. He was preceded in death by a brother, Seth Aldridge Price Jr.; and sister, Anna Lindsey. Mr. Price is survived by his wife of 71 years, Carman Loder Price; two sons, Lex P. Price and his wife Eunice of Millington, and James E. Price Jr. and his wife Marla Kay of Jersey City, Va.; three brothers, Tobin 'Toby' Price of Stevensvile, Roland Price of Montana, and Robert Price of Sudlersville; one sister, Helen Palmatory of South Carolina; six grandchildren, Dawn Ash, Joyce Reed, Jimmy Prahl, Lex Price, Jr., Seth Price and Jimmy Price, III; and two great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend a service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 4 in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St., Galena. Burial in Asbury Cemetery, Millington.
