Harris, Jr., 83 SOUTHAVEN, Miss. - James B. "Monkey" Harris, Jr., 83, died October 24, 2013 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Memphis. Mr. Harris retired from Commercial Carriers. He was a member of the Shriner Mounted Patrol. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Beulah Alexander. He leaves his wife, Jan Harris; children, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Cooper of Sharpsburg, Ga., Mr. and Mrs. Doss Hill of Smyrna, Tenn., Mr. and Mrs. Larry Stoeckel of Georgetown, Del., Mr. and Mrs. Lance Smith of Southaven, Miss., Mr. and Mrs. Chris Kelly of Hernando, Miss.; sister, Ellen Whitaker (Frank) of Villa Ridge, Mo.; brother, Carl Harris (Kathy) of Florida; 19 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013 at Hernando Funeral. Service will be 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 28, 2013 at Heartland Church, Southaven with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Villa Ridge, MO.
