James A. 'Jim' Luther, 62

MIDDLETOWN - James A. "Jim" Luther, beloved husband and father, of Middletown, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2008, at Union Hospital in Maryland. He fought a long and tiring battle against Hodgkin's disease which took its toll at the end. He was 62.

Born in South Hampton, N.Y., on Dec. 14, 1945, he was raised in Riverhead, N.Y., where he grew up with many friends and family.

Jim attended Riverhead High School where he met the former, Diane Hallock, and they fell in love.

Upon his graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he enjoyed a full life traveling the world and seeing many things and many different people.

Shortly after Diane's graduation they were united in marriage on July 2, 1966.

A few years later they were blessed with their first born, Jeff, and 10 years later a beautiful daughter, Jaime.

Shortly thereafter, his life took a new direction which brought him and his family to Delaware.

While living in Delaware Jim worked on computers and became A-plus certified.

He also worked for Crowell Corp. as an industrial mechanic for many years.

Jim was a man full of life and enjoyed making people laugh.

He loved to go bowling and was a jack of all trades, especially when it came to building.

Because of health reasons he went on medical disability, which he accepted, and took each day after that as it came with no questions until his final few hours. Just as he entered the world, the good Lord called him home.

Jim leaves many wonderful memories to his loving wife, Diane; their two children, Jeff and Jaime and their faithful pet, Corky.
