Jacquelyn (Hester) Freeberg, 84
LEWES - Jacquelyn (Hester) Freeberg of Lewes passed away Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007, in her residence. She was 84.
She was born Aug. 9, 1923, in Moultrie, Ga., daughter of the late William J. and Edna Allene (Williams) Hester.
Mrs. Freeberg moved to Lewes two years ago after living most of her life in Menlo Park, Calif.
She had a long career with the federal government, working for the National Geological Survey.
Mrs. Freeberg was also a world traveler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melroy Freeberg.
She is survived by her two sisters, Ernestine A. Armstrong of Lewes and Juanita Petty of North Carolina; and seven nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes.
Interment will be private.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 163, Salisbury, MD 21803-0163.
