Hugh Rawlings Butler, 85
FELTON - Hugh Rawlings Butler passed away in his home surrounded by family on Friday, January 15, 2021.
Hugh was born in Easton, Maryland on November 23, 1935. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Marie Butler.
Hugh was involved in the Greensboro Historical Society. He was a member of Red Mans Hall and Lions Club. Hugh attended St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Greensboro. He also volunteered 13 years at the Greensboro Elementary School tutoring children and being honored by WBOC for the Jefferson Award. Hugh earned the Greensboro Citizen of the Year award. He owned and operated Greensboro Hardware in Greensboro, Maryland.
He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Butler; his sons, Steven (Lisa), Vincent (Michele); his grandchildren, Victoria, Vincent, Olivia; and his brother, Wayne Butler.
A graveside service will be private.
