GREENSBORO, Md. - Herman "Junior" Kemp Jr., of Greensboro, formerly Denton, passed away Dec. 20, 2011, at the Memorial Hospital at Easton. He was born in Harrington, Del., March 23, 1926, son of the late Herman Kemp Sr. and Elva Draper Kemp. The family later moved to Maryland where Junior worked on the family farm. At the age of 18, he was drafted into the Army on April 18, 1945. He took his Basic Training at Fort Knox, Ky., and was stationed on Okinawa. He was discharged with honors on Christmas Day 1946. Junior worked for Greensboro Meat Packers for thirty years, then worked for Burris Foods in Milford and Harrington, Del., for sixteen years, retiring in 1994. Mr. Kemp is survived by his daughter, JoAnn Cornelius and her husband George of Florida; his step-son, Donald Schultz of Bethlehem, Md.; nieces, Brenda Snow and Cindy Boyd; nephews, Ray Melvin, Wayne Kemp, Glenn O'Neill; and long time, special friend, Doris Hynson. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, June; his brother, James; and three sisters, Emma, Ruthann and Doris. Services will be held at the graveside at Woodlawn Memorial Park, on Friday, Dec. 23, 2011, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Caroline Home For Hospice, 1613 South 5th Ave, P.O.
