MARYDEL, DE - Helen Goyette passed away Monday, August 9, 2021, at home.
Mrs. Goyette was born November 13, 1932, in Brandon, Vermont to the late William Fisk and Edith Mealand Fisk. The family moved to Orange, Massachusetts where she met her future husband, she literally married the boy next door. Mrs. Goyette was a very proud Army wife.
She had worked for Central Middle School 1st as a secretary, then as a Library Aide retiring in the early 90's after 32 plus years. Mrs. Goyette was a member of the Wyoming United Methodist Church and church ladies gardening club. She loved gardening and spending time with her family and friends as well as traveling, humming very loudly and dancing. Mrs. Goyette was an avid reader and very artistic. She will be remembered for her planning of meals, parties, activities, and list of lists.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Goyette.
She is survived by her son, Michael R. Goyette of Springhill, FL; daughters, Diane Goyette Metsch of Marydel, DE, Pamela Revello and Karen Goyette-Sammons both of Newport Richey, FL; brothers, Arthur Fisk of Princeton, ME and William Fisk of Cape Cod, Mass; seven grandchildren, Taunya, Tasha, Kristen, Brittany, Stephany, Andrew and Grace; ten great grandchildren, Alexa, Sofia, Dominic, Kaya, Jordan, Lillian, Willow, Brailee and Jemma.
Memorial services will be held 12 Noon, Saturday, August 14, 2021, at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Services will be live streamed on Torbert Funeral Chapel's Facebook, https://www.facebook.com/torbertfuneralchapels
