VIOLA - Helen Devlin, of Viola, died Sunday, July 4, 2011, at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital. She was 74. Mrs. Devlin was born Dec. 8, 1936, in Freeburn, Ky., to the late Frank and Jossie Stevens Daniels. She moved to Delaware in 1954, where she met and married Robert in 1956. Mrs. Devlin took great pride in her home and loved working outside in the yard planting lots of flowers. She had many hobbies over the years, one of which was being a collector of dolls. At one time she had over 200. She and her husband enjoyed going on cruises; her favorite places being Alaska and Hawaii. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Devlin; two sons, Gregory and Barry; three sisters, Ruth V. McClain, Alma Moeller and Ersie M. Reynolds; three brothers, William R. (Buddy) Daniels, Franklin D. Daniels and Frank Daniels, Jr. She is survived by a daughter, Deborah A. Devlin and her companion Tom Embert of Felton; two sisters, Ellen Glanden of Willow Grove, and Phyllis Daniels of Georgetown; a brother, John G. Daniels of Felton; and a special friend, Ruth Ann Gingerich of Dover. Services will be noon, Thursday, July 7, at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may gather one hour earlier. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
