Hazel M. Sapp

Mrs. Sapp was born Feb. 11, 1921, in Dover, to the late George V. Moore and Adaline Mitchner Moore. She worked for over 50 years as a telephone operator for Diamond State Telephone Company now known as Verizon. Mrs. Sapp was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Dover. She enjoyed fun times with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Howard Sapp Jan. 20, 1997, and son Fred Sapp. She is survived by her son, Ronald Lee Sapp of Dover; brother, Phillip Moore of Felton; and sister, Jane Davis of Placerville, Ca. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wed. 22, 2011, at Lakeside Cemetery, 558 N. State Street, Dover. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to either Kent County SPCA, 32 Shelter Circle, Camden, DE 19934 or Delaware Hospice, 911 S. Dupont Highway, Dover, DE 19901. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at torbertfuneral.com.
