MILFORD, Del. - Harry A. Thompson passed away peacefully on Friday, May 7, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving family. Harry was born in Dover, Del. the son of the late Harry and Gladys (Elliot) Thompson.
Harry worked as a truck driver for Cardinal Freight Carriers for many years before retiring. He was a member of the Harrington Moose Lodge # 534. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and loved gardening. Harry was a hard worker and when he was not working, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was also a dog lover, especially his dog "Killer".
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by one brother, William H. Thompson; and three sisters, Doretta Ford, Jane Thompson and Doris Davis.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Rosemarie (Ford) Thompson; one daughter, Pam Thompson; two sons, Victor Quillen (Emma) and Justin A. Thompson; four grandchildren, Monica Davis, Macey Thompson, Anna Jackson and Aaron Jackson; four great grandchildren, Marlyn Davis, Brock Davis, Anse Davis and Colton Jackson; a special nephew, Hank Thompson; another nephew, Scott Ford; and two nieces, Gladys Norton and Donna Massey.
A Celebration of Harry's Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made online to the American Cancer Society - https://donate3.cancer.org.
