Gladys E. Daisey

GEORGETOWN - Gladys E. Daisey, of Georgetown passed away at Harbor Healthcare in Lewes on Sunday, Nov. 29, 2015. She was born in Redden on July 16, 1934, daughter of the late Ben and Lillian Morgan. She worked at Jan Electronics which later became Mohawk Electronics. Gladys was a longtime homemaker. Her passion in life was her oil paintings sold to many throughout Sussex County. In addition, she also enjoyed crocheting, ceramics and artificial flower arranging. She was a longtime member to the Woodbridge Art League and Anona Council 11 Pocahontas. In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by her grandson, Brandon L. Rust. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert Daisey of Georgetown; three daughters, Sandra Rust (Eddie) of Harrington, Belinda Cybak (Roman) of Georgetown, and Robbin Workman (Michael) of Georgetown; five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; and two step-great-great-grandsons. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015 at 12:00 noon in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, DE, where friends may call from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Interment will be in Henlopen Memorial Park, Milton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to McColley's Chapel, c/o Sally Griffith, 18317 McColleys Chapel Road, Georgetown, DE 19947.
