Gerald Cullen passed away peacefully of natural causes, surrounded by family on February 21, 2022, in The Villages, FL.
Jerry is survived by his daughter, Becky Moody (Bob) of Delaware; his grandsons, Matthew Moody and Billy Cullen of Delaware; and his granddaughters, Tracy Johnson of FL, Becca Hinds (Laurence) of Middletown, DE, Sarah Amis (Matthew) of Wilmington, DE; and great grandsons, Lamar Elam and Drew Hinds, Alex and Cameron Amis.
He was predeceased by his wife, Jeanette Cullen of 45 years; his daughter, Patty Rager and Susan Erb; his sister, Rosemary Rose (Earl); and brothers, John Cullen (Phyllis) and Jim Cullen (Joyce) of Delaware.
Jerry was born on March 10, 1931, in German Town, PA, to parents James and Alberta Cullen. He graduated from Dover High School in 1950. Shortly after he joined the Marines and served during the Korean War. After the military he became the co-owner of Biter and Cullen Quick Car Wash for 38 years.
Jerry was a great family man and a loving father. He married Jeanette in March of 1963 and the couple had three daughters. Jerry enjoyed his business, construction projects, spending time with family and working in his yard. His family and friends will remember him as a kind and generous man.
Interment will take place at Sharon Hills in Dover, DE, services will be private.
In lieu of flowers the family ask you make a donation in Jerry's name to the hospice of your choice.
