CAMDEN - Georgia Carroll Vaughan passed away Sat., Feb. 21, 2015 at the Delaware Hospice in Milford. Georgia was born May 26, 1946 in Lumberton, N.J. to the late C. George Branin and Doris Cahall Branin. She married her husband David Collin Vaughan who was in the military and stationed at McGuire AFB, N.J. They traveled in the military and were stationed in South Dakota, where their son was born. In 1975 they were stationed to Dovr Air Force Base. At first Georgia stayed home to care for her three children, later she worked for The Wilmington Dry Goods from 1982 till 1987. She and David loved Delaware so they bought a home in Camden and decided Delaware would be where they would retire. Then Nov. of 1987 Georgia started working for The State of Delaware with Parks and Recreation, until retiring in 2010. Through her years of employment Georgia cherished the friendships she had made along the way. She was loved by so many. In her spare time she enjoyed Genealogy, crafts, flowers, sewing and shopping. Her most favorite was traveling with her husband and family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, David C. Vaughan Jr. and his wife, Mandie Vaughan. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, David Collin Vaughan of Camden; daughters, Vicki Windsor and her husband, Scott of Dover, Michele Jones and her husband, Dave of Magnolia; sister, Pat Dickerson and her husband, Ron of Mt. Holly, N.J.; grandchildren, Zachary Windsor, Joshua Windsor and Evan Moser; and her Aunt, Gladys Graser of N.Y. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Fri., Feb. 27, 2015 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Route 10), Dover. Friends may call from 7-9 Thurs. evening.
