DOVER, Del. - George W. Walls of Dover, Del. formerly of Milford, Del. passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Bayhealth Hospital, Sussex Campus, Milford. George was born in Milford, Del. the son of the late Howard and Sara (Roberts) Walls.
He was a graduate of Milford High School class of 1972. He was owner and operator of Wallsy General Repair. George also worked for Wilson Beverage Company and Swains Excavating for several years. He was a member of the Milford Moose Lodge # 2316 and the N.R.A. He was a workaholic but in his spare time he got enjoyment sitting down and shucking lima beans as well as watching old westerns on television.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his brothers, John Walls, Sr. and Oscar (Kenny) Walls; an aunt, Elva Wadkins; and a niece, Wanda Walls.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Sandie Walls; one stepdaughter, Paula Pokorny (Scott); two granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Allison Pokorny; a sister, Phyllis Ann Walls; a nephew, John Walls, Jr. (Hilary); a niece, Brenda Russum; two great nephews, Jayven Walls and Dusty Russum; a great niece, Hannah Walls; several cousins; and his beloved cat, "Mittens".
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at Milford Community Cemetery, N. Walnut Street, Milford. The family asks that everyone please dress casually for the service.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the First State Animal Shelter and S.P.C.A., 32 Shelter Circle, Camden, DE 19934.
