DOVER - George Fredrick Woolford departed this life on Feb. 27, 2017.
Mr. Woolford retired from the United Sates Air Force after 20 years of service. Fifteen years later, he retired from Playtex Corporation. Mr. Woolford was an avid sports participant throughout his life. He played basketball, tennis and golf. He also enjoyed walking, running, biking and fishing.
Mr. Woolford was preceded in death by his wife, Mary A. "Denia" Woolford. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Erica; and his brothers, Vincent Harold Hargrove and Richard H. Tittle, Sr.
He is survived by his children, Sharronne Woolford Bryant (Marvin, Jr.), Andrea Woolford Eley (Royce) and Jason Jamaal Woolford; one sister, Shirley Lee Woolford Tittle; one brother, Wallace V. Woolford; and three grandchildren, Marvin Bryant, III, Xavier Christopher Woolford Bryant, and Jordan R. Eley.
A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, Mar. 5, 2017, at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE 19934, where there will be a viewing from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Sunday.
Burial will be private.
