DOVER - George E. Thomas passed away, Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Kent General Hospital.
Mr. Thomas served in the United States Navy for 3 years. He worked as a Boiler Mechanic for Playtex for 29 years retiring in 2003. Mr. Thomas enjoyed hunting, fishing, and crabbing. He based his life around his family which he loved them all dearly.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by brother, David Ross.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Beverly Clendaniel Thomas of Dover; son, George W. Thomas and his wife Jasmine of Marydel, Del.; daughter, Amy Thomas of Dover; brothers, Stanly Ross of Greensboro, Md. and Richard Ross and his wife Dallas of Cambridge, Md.; sister, Barbara Brammer of Greensboro, Md.; grandchildren, George DJ Thomas, Cheyanne R. Brown, Kiahnora Corey, Nysa Warren, Tristin Corey and Sasha Warren.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, Delaware 19701.
