DOVER - George E. Nicholson, Jr. died Monday, Dec. 7, 2015 at the Country Rest Home, Greenwood. George was born on Sept. 4, 1927 in Chestertown, Md., son of the Ada (Mulford) and George E. Nicholson, Sr. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Mr. Nicholson owned Kent Produce Co. and was an independent trucker. His hobbies included woodworking, decoy carving and skeet shooting. He was a member and past president of the VFW and also the Delmarva Independent Truckers Association, and a member of the NRA and Ducks Unlimited. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Mary Lou (Willis) and his daughter Diane Nicholson. He is survived by his daughter Lisa Sitko and her husband Barry. Funeral service will be 12 noon Saturday, Dec. 12 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where visitation will be two hours earlier. Burial will follow in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com
