GREENWOOD - George David Zott passed away very peacefully at his home due to a terminal illness on Tuesday, October 21, 2014, just 2 weeks after his 73rd birthday. David was born at Milford Memorial Hospital to his parents, the late Lester Zott and Alice Zott-Griffin. He served in the US Air Force from March 3, 1960 thru December 3, 1963. While in the service he was in the Rescue Squad, Air Crash rescue. He has always loved little children and played a big part in Operation Santa Clause. David was retired from The Power House at DuPont plant in Seaford, where he worked from 2/22/65-6/1/93. He was a Master Mason, and served on the Board of Directors of Southern States. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Leonard Zott. He is survived by a brother, Tommy Zott of Greenwood and a sister, Nancy Hudson-Cannon of Georgetown. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 27, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Todd's Chapel, 102 Todd's Chapel Road, Greenwood, DE 19950. His viewing will be Sunday, October 26 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Fleischauer Funeral Home, 16 W. Market St, Greenwood. Interment will be held at Bloomery Cemetery in Federalsburg, MD.
