Gary Wayne Baughan, 73

CAMDEN - Gary Wayne Baughan, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, in Christiana Medical Center, Wilmington. He was 73. He was born on Jan. 10, 1936 in Page, W.Va., to late John and Elowise Arrington Baughan. He was a member of Middletown Moose Lodge and UAW Local 1183. He worked for Chrysler for 30 years and retired in 1994. He is a U.S. Air Force military police veteran and served in the Army National Guard. He was raised by his step-father, Charles Haskett and his mother. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, pitching horse shoes, joking and laughing. He also enjoyed camping and was a member of the Duck Neck Campground for 36 years. He loved to spend time with his African gray parrot "Trudy". He is survived by wife, Bonnie Baughan of Camden; step-son and his wife, Robert R. and Bobbie Pearson Jr. of Harrington; daughters, Rita Eggers of Spring Hill, Fla., and Debra Long and her husband Jeffrey of Glen Burnie, Md.; step-daughter, Barbara Pearson of Harrington; sister and her husband, Louise Ann and Ronnie Eads of Bear; sister, Nylene Rader of Oak Hill, W.Va.; grandson, Andrew Eggers of Boca Raton, Fla.; granddaughter, Sarah Eggers of Spring Hill, Fla.; great-granddaughter, Delecia Surace of Coral Springs, Fla.; step-grandsons, Roby and James Pearson of Harrington; and step-granddaughter, Lauren Pearson of Harrington. Services will be 7 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2009 at Trader Funeral Home in Dover. Graveside service and burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at the Gracelawn Memorial Park. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2009 at the Trader Funeral Home in Dover. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to American Cancer Society, 92 Read's Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720.
