DOVER - Frederick C. Brace, III, age 64, started the final chapter of his incredible journey on April 22, 2018. Preceded in death by his father Frederick C. Brace, Jr. Surviving family members: spouse Linda Brace; daughter Andrea Brace and son-in-law Todd Matthews, son Matthew and Deanna Williams, and son Stephen Williams; mother Adeline Brace; sister Cheryl and Merton Amuso, brother John and Brenda Brace, Edward and Ruth Brace, and Joseph Brace; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Retired Capt, US Air Force. Honored with four Air Force Commendation Medals, two Air Force Good Conduct Medals, and the Air Force Achievement Medal. Worked 23 years at Dover Family Physicians, and 36 years overall as a Physician Assistant-Certified. Served multiple positions including President, Delaware Academy of Physician Assistants. Was a member of the Delaware Physician Assistant Regulatory Council. Served as Secretary, Veterans Caucus of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Lower Delaware Bowling Association.
The viewing will be held Friday, April 27, 2018 beginning at 11 a.m. at Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus St. in Dover. The service will follow at 1 p.m. in the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in honor of Frederick to establish a scholarship fund for the Veterans Caucus of the American Academy of Physician Assistants athttp://www.veteranscaucus.org/index.php/donate. In the comment section please indicate: "Frederick Brace, III Scholarship." The family would like to offer heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Joseph Rubacky and all of Dover Family Physicians and the staff of Bayhealth Hospital in Dover.
