Franklin C. Schriver, 90

LONG NECK - Franklin C. Schriver of Long Neck, formerly of Mifflinburg and Augustaville, Pa., passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2007, in his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was 90.

Mr. Franklin was born Dec. 13, 1916, in Shamokin, Pa.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army.

Mr. Schriver owned and operated Schriver"s Country Store and Service Station in Augustaville before retiring.

He loved fishing and hunting.

Mr. Schriver was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Rehoboth Beach and Post 44 in Danville, Pa.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Gertrude E. Schriver; a son, Gary Schriver, and his wife, Melanie, of Long Neck; two grandchildren, Eric Schriver of Pennsylvania and Adrea Schriver of Long Neck; and a great-grandson, Landon.

A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Monday in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Compassionate Care Hospice, 31038 Country Garden Blvd., Suite D2, Dagsboro, DE 19939.
