Frank James Sharp, 46 HARRINGTON - Frank James Sharp, of Harrington, passed away in his home surrounded by family and friends on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008. He was 46. Frank was born in DAFB hospital Dec. 26, 1961, to the late Mary (Currie) and David Sharp. He worked as a dishwasher for Bob's Big Boy and later as a housekeeper and incinerator operator at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. Frank enjoyed writing poetry and song lyrics as well as singing. His favorite music was mostly classic rock but he also enjoyed new age relaxation music and oldies. He would often entertain co-workers, family and friends with his artful imitations of rock groups, such as REO Speedwagon, Aerosmith, Kansas and Def Leppard. Frank enjoyed being around family, especially his grandchildren, Hayden and A.J., and his nephews, Tyler and Dakota, who would spend countless hours watching Spongebob and classic cartoons together. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and although his health prevented him from going to church, he loved to talk about and ponder the scriptures with friends, family and other members of the church. He loved the Lord with all his heart, mind and strength. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edwin and Kitty Sharp; a sister, Janie Ribolla; two uncles, Steven Sharp and Dick Sharp and his foster father, Ronald Sharp. He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Joan; two sons, John Kossman and his fiancé Tina Creed, and Adam Kossman and his fiancé Jessica Fisher; his father-in-law, Jim Kossman and his wife Jeanette; his mother-in-law, Rose Kossman; his foster mom, Barbara Davis; his brothers, David Sharp and his wife Robin, Ronald Sharp, Duane Davis and his wife Jennifer, and Steve Davis; his sisters, Edwina Sherman and her husband Joe, Michelle Berger and Dawn Morris; ten nephews and 11 nieces; special friends, Karen Davis and Rob Masten, as well as many other friends too numerous to mention. Funeral services will be noon Saturday in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 110 South Lucky Estates Drive, Harrington, where friends may call between 10 a.m. to noon. Burial will be in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Bay Road, Frederica. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to either Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963; or to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 110 S. Lucky Estates Drive, Harrington, DE 19952. Arrangements by Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford.
