SMYRNA - Frank DiPersio passed away on May 31, 2017 in his daughter's home with his family around him after a long battle with Lung Cancer. He was born in Wilmington on July 6, 1945. He served in the United States Navy and fought in the Vietnam War. He worked for the Railroad for many years. He was a loving father, and devoted grandfather of four grandchildren. He loved deer, hunting, collecting baseball cards, country music and photography. He was a simple man, he always had a funny joke or crazy story to tell that would guarantee to make you laugh. He always used to give people a hard time or pick on them but that only meant he liked you as he would say. He was full of life, jokes and happy times.
Frank is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Constantino of Queenstown, MD along with her husband Frank, his four grandchildren - Tyler, Antonio, Frankie and Annabella. He is also survived by his daughter, Melanie DiPersio of Rock Hall, MD, as well as many neices and nephews.
With his death, Frank decided to donate his body to Anatomy Gifts Registry to help with research in finding cures for diseases. His ashes will rest in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in 6 weeks along with a gathering of his family and friends after the services. Arrangements will be made in the weeks to come and everyone will be notified of the service and gathering.
The family would like to thank Compassionate Care Hospice for all of their help and care for their father / grandfather, so in lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations in Frank's name can be made to The Compassionate Care Hospice in Millsboro. http://cchnet.net/mid-atlantic/delaware/millsboro
