Francis “Buster” Rust, of Farmington, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at his home. He was the son of the late, Wilson Rust and Barbara Rust Brumbley.
Buster retired from Kraft Foods where he worked in the millwright shop. He was an active member of the Harrington Moose Lodge, both Seaford and Milford Masonic Lodges where he was a Master Mason, and the Harrington American Legion which he visited almost daily.
Buster was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, being in the shop, cutting grass, or spending time with his family and friends. His biggest passions were hunting and NASCAR, where he preferred the older drivers like Dale Earnhardt Sr. Buster enjoyed working on his 1969 Sting Ray Corvette and participating in car shows. He was an amazing man, always cheerful and positive. He will be dearly missed, not only by his family, but especially by his daily breakfast club, a special group of friends that met at Rudy’s or Main Street Café.
In addition to his parents, Buster is preceded in death by his brother, Chris Rust and sister, Darlene Bradley. Buster is survived by his son, Travis Rust; daughter, Jennifer Rust; brother, Larry Rust; and companion, Shirley Andrews.
