SMYRNA - Francis Budd of Smyrna passed away Friday, June 22, 2007, in his home. He was 85.
Mr. Budd was born Dec. 2, 1921, near Townsend, son of the late Elmer and Myrtle Budd.
He was a factory worker for most of his life before retiring from Metal Masters.
Mr. Budd enjoyed playing and listening to country music.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Bell (Deisem) Budd; three daughters, Shirley Wild, Doris Tribbitt and Bonnie Allen; and a brother, Elmer Budd.
Mr. Budd is survived by a daughter, Laura "Pat" Rouse of Camden; a brother, Bobby Budd of Smyrna; a sister, Ruth Ann of Wilmington; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be noon Monday in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 S. Main St., Smyrna, where friends may call one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Smyrna.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Kent County SPCA, 32 Shelter Circle, Camden-Wyoming, DE 19934.
