DOVER - Frances L. Walker, 80, passed away Friday, April 06, 2012 at her home with family in Dover. She was born on December 20, 1931 in Summer, Ill. to Tilden and Opal Clark. Frances married William Walker in 1953 in Summer, Ill. They were stationed in various states while William served in the Air Force for 22 years then settled in Dover while William worked at the University of Delaware for 27 years. Frances worked at the Dover Air Force Base Youth Center as an Assistant Youth Director for 25 years. She was the Manager of Youth Bowlers at Dover Air Force Base for 17 years every Saturday. She held the position of Secretary of Lower Delaware Junior Bowlers for 12 years, President of Junior Bowlers for the State of Delaware for 4 years, and spent 30 years bowling on various leagues. Frances enjoyed family gatherings, reading, crossword puzzles, meeting many nice people on her bowling trips, and having lunch with friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tilden and Opal Clark; husband, William Walker; brothers, Delbert, Loris, Dayton and twin brother Ollie; sister, Evelyn Prettyman; and nephews, Garth Prettyman and Delbert Clark, Jr. She is survived by son, William Allan Walker of Milford; daughter and her husband, Diana and Eugene Rex Park, Jr. of Felton; eight grandchildren, Christina Melvin, Douglas Walker, Jennifer Mosley, Jacquelyn Park, Megan Moorhead, David Walker, Alexandra Rexrode, Casey Walker; and eight great grandchildren, Ashley Melvin, Amber Melvin, Samantha Mosley, Coleman Mosley, Erica Mosley, Savannah Park, Tristan Rexrode and Alexis Rexrode; and special neighbors, Trish Ferry, Brian and Dylan Everett. Remembrance Services will be 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Trader Funeral Home in Dover where friends may call noon to 1:30 pm. Burial will be at the Sharon Hill Memorial Park in Dover.
