Frances Clark

Frances (Clough) Clark, 74

SUDLERSVILLE, Md. - Frances (Clough) Clark of Sudlersville died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, at her home. She was 74.

Mrs. Clark was born April 6, 1933, in Ingleside, daughter of the late Paul and Edith (Thompson) Clough.

She was a 1951 graduate of Sudlersville High School.

Mrs. Clark married Gayland N. Clark on July 25, 1953, in St. Paul"s Church, Ingleside.

She went to work as a secretary for the Sudlersville High School, now Sudlersville Middle School, and worked at both schools a total of 32 years.

Mrs. Clark was a member of St. Paul"s United Methodist Church, Ingleside, and also a member of the Sudlersville Community Betterment Club.

She was the classic caregiver; serving others was a life long endeavor for her.

Mrs. Clark was very family oriented and had an avid interest in helping in her community.

She enjoyed bowling in her younger years, writing poetry, gardening and collecting antiques.

Mrs. Clark is survived by her husband, Gayland N. Clark of Sudlersville; two sons, Gregory Clark and John "Randy" Clark, both of Sudlersville; two sisters, Betty Ann Coleman of Barclay, and Carolyn Butterworth of Crumpton; one brother, Norman Clough of Dover, Del.; and two granddaughters, Rebecca Clark Lepter of Kennedyville, and Jordan Clark of Sudlersville.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, 370 W. Cypress St., Millington. A visitation will be from 6 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.

Interment will be held in Sudlersville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to the Sudlersville Community Betterment Club, P.O. Box 130 Sudlersville, MD 21668.

Charles R. Snyder Sr., 81

MILLSBORO - Charles R. Snyder Sr. of Maple Leaf Drive, Millsboro, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 81.

He was born Nov. 20, 1925, in Norristown, Pa., to Howard and Elizabeth (Truesdale) Snyder.

Mr. Snyder was a truck driver for more than 40 years and worked for Yellow Fright Lines out of Lancaster, Pa.

He and his wife moved to Delaware 10 years ago.

Mr. Snyder enjoyed fishing and crabbing.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Anna G. Snyder of Millsboro; a son and his wife, Charles R. Jr. and Marie Snyder of Dallastown, Pa.; a sister, Helen Hedrick of Millsboro; and three granddaughters, Christina Wineka, Andrea Snyder and Olivia Wineka.

Services will be at the convenience of the family.
