Fletcher Solloway, 90
Sudlersville - Fletcher Clarence Solloway of Sudlersville, MD passed away at his home on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023.
"Fletch" was born Aug. 30, 1933 in Sudlersville, MD the son of the late Clarence and Helen "Hurd" Solloway. He left school in the 8th grade and went to work at Playtex. After 47 years he retired in 1997. After retirement he enjoyed working on mowers, small engines and old cars. He loved going down to spend time at their Florida home in the winter between 2000 and 2015. He also enjoyed going to car shows and working outside in his yard.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Louise Pearson, Jim Solloway, Robert Solloway, Audrey Clough, Betty Melvin, Patricia Solloway and Shirley Leger.
He is survived by his wife, Doris May Solloway of Sudlersville, MD, his children, Fletcher Solloway Jr. (Brenda) of Severn, MD, daughter, Christine Ober (Randy) of Greensboro, MD, son, Dale Solloway of Dover, DE, two brothers, Earl Solloway of Smyrna, DE, Jack Solloway of Clayton, DE, two sisters, Sharon Dempsey of Worton, MD, Bonnie Lightcap of Greensboro, MD, seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 22, 2023 from 10-11 a.m. at Fellows Family Funeral Home 370 Cypress St. Millington, MD 21651. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will follow the service at Sudlersville Cemetery in Sudlersville, MD.
