FERN V. SHELP

DOVER - Fern V. Shelp passed away Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 75. Fern was born on May 21, 1936, in Woodside, daughter of the late Vernon and Alice Kimball. She had worked as a waitress and later as a visiting nurse. Fern enjoyed going to the Harrington Slots and traveling to Florida in the winter months. Fern is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Harry Shelp; a son, Timothy Shelp of Newark; a sister, Eleanor Wollenberg of Chicago, Ill.; a brother, Willis Kimball of Camden; a sister-in-law, Anna May Shine of Georgetown; and a niece, Shirley Shelp of Virginia; and an extended family of very close friends. Services will be 12 noon Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011, at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may gather two hours before services. Burial will follow in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com
