TOWNSEND - Eugenia F. Marshall, of Townsend, passed away at the home of her daughter, Monday, Jan. 28, 2008. She was 84.
Mrs. Marshall was born May 23, 1923, in Mohawk, W.Va., the daughter of the late John B. and Dollie Harrison Williamson.
Mrs. Marshall worked for the state of Delaware as a secretary to the commissioner of elections in Dover for several years before retirement.
She was a caregiver to her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two grandsons, Eric James Marshall and Barry Dean Reece Sr.; six sisters, Nancy Deskins, Violet Lester, Hilda Miller, Elizabeth Deskins, Opal Lester, and Sarah Helen Sipple; and a brother, Joseph Williamson.
She is survived by her husband, Everett J. Marshall; a son, James E. Marshall and his wife Kimberly of Clayton; a daughter, Virginia L. Davis and her husband, George with whom she lived; a brother, John Bishop Williamson of Alabama; three sisters, Mary Green of Petersburg, W.Va., Rachel Amburgy of Ikes Fork, W.Va. and Gaynell Frazier of Americus, Ga.; five grandchildren, Ronald E. Reece Jr., Vickie L. Collins and Douglas J. "D.J." Marshall, Katelyn and Jason Baker; four great-grandchildren, Cassie Collins, Barry Dean Reece Jr., Darren Cole Reece and Phoebe D. Marshall; and her deceased grandsons wife, Kimberly Reece.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 S. Main St., Smyrna, where friends may call one hour prior to the services.
Burial will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Highway, Dover DE 19901.
