Eugene R. Gargiulo (Gino), 72 DOVER - Eugene R. Gargiulo (Gino), 72, of Dover, formerly of Bogota, N.J., passed away on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010. Gene was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. He resided in Bogota, N.J. for 23 years, before moving to Dover with his wife Anne 6 years ago. Gene worked for the Port Authority of NY and NJ for 37 1/2 years. After retiring, he worked at Van Saun County Park in Paramus, NJ as a train engineer. He was also an active member with his children's high school with the Bogota Buc Boosters and the Band Parents Association. In Delaware, Gene along with his wife, were active social members of their community of Wild Meadows. He also enjoyed monthly outings with the Romeo's. Gene is survived by his beloved wife Anne of 44 years. He also leaves behind his daughter, Christine F. Gubitosi and husband James of Middletown; and son, Stephen R. Gargiulo and wife Rita of Dover. He also will be missed by his dear grandchildren, Samantha (Sami) and Tyler (T-Man). Friends may call from 2 until 4 p.m. and from 7 until 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, and from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 18. at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St., Dover. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Thursday, Feb. 18, at 1:30 p.m. at Holy Cross Church, 631 S. State St., Dover. Interment will be Friday, Feb. 19, at 12:30 p.m. at the Garden of Memories, Pascack Rd, Washington Township, N.J. Condolences may be sent and Guest Book signed via www.ambruso.com
