HARRINGTON - Esther Mae Stubbs of Harrington died Monday, Oct. 23, 2006, in Bayhealth Medical Center, Dover. She was 83.
Mrs. Stubbs was born Sept. 23, 1923, in Henderson, Md., daughter of the late William and Anna Blanche (Kelly) Bell.
She attended school in Henderson.
Mrs. Stubbs was a homemaker, and had also worked for Greensboro Shirt Factory, Harrington Button Factory and Vita Food.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Major Stubbs, on April 10, 2000.
She is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law, William and Karen Stubbs of Harrington and Kenneth and Robbin Stubbs of Harrington; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Betty and Chuck Potter of Goldsboro, Md., Jeanette Stubbs of Worton, Md., Norma Jean and Jimmy Gustafson of Church Hill, Md., and Darlene Shahan and Buddy Bell of Greensboro, Md.; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a dear of Mr. and Mrs. Stubbs, Nelson Kimble.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, Greensboro.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
Burial will be in Greensboro Cemetery.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association, 114 Baptist St., Salisbury, MD 21801; or the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 43, Federalsburg, MD 21632.
