DOVER - Ernest W. Muschner, Sr. passed away Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 85. Ernest was born on April 1, 1926, in New York City, N.Y. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army and Air Force and continued with the military in civil service. Ernest was a member of the Air Force Association, American Legion and the N.C.O.A. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Inga Muschner. Ernest is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Joan Muschner; children, Ernest W. Muschner Jr., JoAnn Flagg and her husband Wally, Penny Webber and her husband Jim of Tampa/St. Petersburg, Fla., Patrick McCoy Jr., and his wife Inseong of Petersburg, Julie McParlin and her husband John of Petersburg; grandchildren, Jamie Webber, Elias Muschner, Chad McParlin and Patrick and Lorene McCoy. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Services and burial in the national cemetery will be in Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Hwy., Dover; or Immaculate Conception, 522 Main Street, Marydel, MD 21649.
