Ernest Lee of Walton passed away Friday, Feb. 9, 2007, in Walton.

Mr. Lee was born in Lake City, S.C., son of the late Emma lee McFadden.

He was a 1964 graduate of Carver High School.

Mr. Lee retired from the U.S. Air Force and made Shalimar, Fla., his home.

He was a kind person who sometimes did not have a lot to say in words, but was always willing to listen without judging.

In 1968 he married Josephine Benson.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister, Doris M. Edwards.

He is survived by his loving wife, Josephine Lee; a daughter and a son-in-law, Tristal and Brian Hoover; a sister and a brother-in-law, Betty and LM Peterson of Florida; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Fred and Ann Dicks of Boston, Floyd and Brenda McFadden of Quinby, S.C. and Ronnie McFadden of Carlisle, Pa.; two brothers-in-law, Joseph Benson and his wife, Delores and Demmeris Benson, all of Dover; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Services were Feb. 16 in Scranton, S.C.

Burial was in Lee Cemetery, Scranton.
