Erin Leight, 40
Erin Leight passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on April 3, 2021.
Erin grew up in Rock Hall, Md. and is the daughter of Karen Russell and the late Clifton B. Leight, Sr.
Erin enjoyed life to the fullest and had a happy disposition. One of her many passions was food & she was always ready to prepare different delicious cuisines for her family and friends. And, oh how she loved the water as she grew up on the Chesapeake Bay. But more than anything, Erin loved her family.
After working in the restaurant business, she became a RN and decided to give up one bay for another. So being the adventurous person she was, she packed her things and moved to the San Francisco Bay area where she worked at UCSF, Parnassus until her illness.
Erin is survived by her mother, Karen Russell of Dover, Del.; sister, Danielle Johnson of Felton, Del.; brother, Brooks Leight, Jr. (Shannon) of Severna Park, Md.; sister, Amber Wardlaw (T) of North Carolina; and her adoptive grandmother, Aunt Madeline Cornelius of Rock Hall, Md. Her nephews and nieces were like her own children, Isaiah, Ethan, and Jacob Johnson, Brooks III, and Jessie Leight, Noah and Kai Wardlaw, and Naomi Johnson and Issa Leight.
Services will be private.
Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com
