WILMINGTON, Del. - Eric S. Pless became one with the force on May 4, 2021, leaving behind two young padawans, his godchildren Michael and Alyssa McKain of Millsboro, Delaware, who simply knew him as their beloved "Unc."
Eric came to this world in Darby, Pennsylvania, oldest child of Sherman and Adeline Pless; he was eventually joined by sisters Vanessa and Shantel. He was a skilled artist and designer, having earned degrees from both Hussian College and the Art Institute of Philadelphia. He enjoyed comic books, graphic novels, video games, Star Wars, and all things Godzilla. His loved ones will miss his fierce independence that accompanied his kind and generous heart and will always recall his determination and bravery in the face of his illness. Until the end, Eric was a beloved and constant presence in the lives of his godchildren and of his dear friend, their mother Veronica McKain and her husband Michael.
Eric was preceded in death by his father and is survived by his mother, along with his sisters and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the American Liver Foundation, PO Box 299 West Orange, NJ 07052.
