Emma Kathryn 'Kitty' Thompson, 94
CENTREVILLE, Md. - Emma Kathryn "Kitty" Thompson, of Centreville and Chestertown, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2007, in Chester River Manor, Chestertown. She was 94.
Emma was born March 31, 1913, in Queen Anne's County, daughter of the late John Benjamin Sr. and Kathryn Belle Pippin Spry.
While living and raising her family in Chestertown she worked for Campbell Soup.
After her retirement, Emma moved to Tilghman Terrace, Centreville.
She enjoyed reading, television and her friends.
Emma was preceded in death by a son, William Bonnewell, in 1971.
Mrs. Thompson is survived by her daughter, Shirley Stevenson Johnson of Chestertown; a son, Kenneth B. Stevenson of Worton; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Crumpton Cemetery, Crumpton, with the Rev. David Bringman of Chestertown Baptist Church officiating.
Memorials may be offered to Kent & Queen Anne's Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 126, Chestertown, MD 21620.
