Elsie Mae Hendricks, 97
Elsie Mae Hendricks passed away peacefully on Monday, October 18, 2021 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford.
Elsie was born in Powellville, Md. on January 21, 1924 to the late William and Della Bradford. She spent most of her remarkable life as a homemaker.
Elsie's world centered around her family. In her younger years she loved having a garden and working in it. She loved caring for her grandchildren, taking long walks, and doing some travelling.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Hendricks; her daughter, Brenda Hendricks; and granddaughter, Michelle McQuay; her sisters, Mabel Elliott and Helen Jean Morris; and brother, Richard Bradford.
She is survived by her son, William H. Hendricks (Carolyn); daughter, Diane Robbins (John); four grandchildren, Amy Brittingham, Ryan Knowles, Melissa Brittingham, and Keith Jester II; six great-grandchildren, Haley Knowles, Zachary Wheway, Karmyn Brittingham, Joshua Sharp, Nicholas Sharp, and Kyle Jester; two great-great-grandchildren, Saylor Sharp and Presley Sharp; and several nephews and nieces; and a special friend, Sandy Wootten; and many other friends.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 25, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Milford Community Cemetery.
