Elizabeth Doebele

DOVER - Elizabeth "Betty" Doebele died May 14, 2018.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y. she was the daughter of the late Leonard Konig and Helen Callan Konig. She had been a long time member of Holy Cross Church of Dover and had owned and operated Doby's Wine Cellar of Dover until her retirement in 1996. She was a dedicated mother and thoroughly enjoyed the time spent with her grandchildren. Betty also enjoyed playing the slots at Dover Downs and traveling.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph T. Doebele in 1987; her granddaughter, Hannah Gast in 1997; and her brother, Matthew Konig. Betty leaves her two children, Denise Gast (Michael) of Dover and Daniel Doebele (Tara) of Manhattan, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Maura Gast, Grace Gast, Anna Doebele, Trevor Doebele and Ryan Doebele.
Relatives and Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, S. State Street, Dover, where friends may call starting at 9:00 a.m. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dover.
Family suggests donations in her memory to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. Dupont Hwy., Dover, DE 19901. Condolences maybe made via www.ambruso.com.
