Elizabeth Cubbage Pritchett, 95

CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Elizabeth C. Pritchett, of Chestertown, died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2007, in the Chester River Hospital Center, Chestertown. She was 95.

Mrs. Pritchett was born in Sandtown, the daughter of the late Charles W. and Bessie Shockley Cubbage.

She married James Pritchett Sr. on April 27, 1939.

Mrs. Pritchett was a member of the Marvin Memorial United Methodist Church, Barclay, and she attended the Kennedyville United Methodist Church, Kennedyville.

Mrs. Pritchett was a member of both churches United Methodist women's groups.

Mrs. Pritchett was a homemaker for most of her adult life.

After raising her children, she worked for several years for Salisbury Brothers in Ridgley.

Mrs. Pritchett enjoyed gardening, sewing cooking and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pritchett was preceded in death by her husband in 1995, as well as six brothers and sisters.

She is survived by one daughter, Jean Lusby Wright and her husband Jack of Worton; one son, Jim Pritchett and his wife Susan of Chestertown; and one sister, Ruth Conley of Galena; grandchildren, Mark Lusby and his wife Tina, Donna L. Jamar, Sharon L. Redding and her husband Steve; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in the Fellows Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, 370 W. Cypress St., Millington, where friends and family may call one hour prior.

Interment will follow in the Sudlersville Cemetery, Sudlersville.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions in her memory to the Marvin Memorial United Methodist Church, c/o Mrs. Mary Story, P.O. Box 25 Barclay, MD 21607; or The Kennedyville United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 32, Kennedyville, MD 21645.
